Begin with one real pet

Choose a photograph of one pet, taken when they were well. A camera photo usually carries more useful detail than a screenshot from a messaging app or an image downloaded from a social feed. Make sure you own the image or have permission to use it. PetAIVideo accepts JPG, PNG and WebP files up to 10 MB. Dogs and cats are the best supported subjects; other pets can be uploaded, but review their free preview carefully. Do not use a drawing, plush toy, heavily edited portrait or another creator’s watermarked image. A single clear subject helps the scene stay focused on the companion you recognize.

Look for a clear, familiar face

A front view or three-quarter angle usually gives the clearest information about your pet’s eyes, ears and muzzle. Choose a relaxed expression that feels familiar to you. Avoid photographs where a toy, blanket, collar accessory or another animal covers the face. Your pet should occupy at least thirty percent of the frame. If you have to zoom far into a tiny animal in the distance, choose another photograph rather than enlarging it until the detail becomes soft. A sharp half-body or full-body view is especially useful for scenes that include walking, sitting or turning toward the camera.

Use light that reveals their markings

Soft daylight near a window or outdoors in open shade can show fur color without harsh shadows. Check that both eyes and the edges of the ears remain visible. Strong light behind your pet can turn their face into a dark silhouette, while direct flash can wash out pale fur. Take a moment to compare the image with how your pet looks in everyday life. Are the patches in the right places? Can you see the texture of their coat? You do not need studio equipment or a special background. Clear natural detail matters more than a polished photograph with a dramatic filter.

Give your pet room in the frame

Leave a little space around the head, ears and body instead of cropping tightly against them. A photo that cuts off half the face gives the system less information to work with. Keep the background simple where possible, with no second animal or people. Photographs containing children cannot be used, even when a child is small or in the background. Select a different image of just your pet. Do not submit graphic, medical, injured-animal or deceased-animal photographs. For a memorial, a happy picture from when your companion was well is the kindest and most useful starting point.

Review the free first frame

After signing in, confirm that you are eighteen or older and have permission to use the photo. Choose a memorial style and request your free watermarked preview. This is an AI-generated still image showing the first frame of your video. Look closely at the eyes, face shape, ears, coat and markings before purchasing a video. If those details do not feel right, try a clearer photo or another style. A preview is a chance to make an informed choice, not a promise that AI will reproduce every feature perfectly in motion. Rejected photos do not consume video credits.

Keep your original and your downloads

Keep the original photograph safe on your own device. Uploaded photos are deleted after seven days and finished videos after thirty days, so download anything you want to keep. Each video offers a main MP4, a silent version and a cover image when available. One free re-make is available within twenty-four hours if the finished result does not feel like your pet. When sharing, retain the AI-generated label and explain that the scene is imagined. An AI tribute, not a real recording. If you are creating a gift, ask the recipient first and use a photograph they are comfortable sharing.
